Ultimate Endurance Test: MINI John Cooper Works & Bulldog Racing Return to the Nürburgring 24 Hours Race

Following a triumphant class win in 2024, MINI John Cooper Works is back for the legendary 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 2025—once again teaming up with Bulldog Racing and this year, bringing an artistic edge through a striking collaboration with Deus Ex Machina.

🎨 MINI x DEUS: Racing Meets Lifestyle

This year’s #MINIJCW race car isn’t just built for performance—it’s designed to turn heads. With a custom livery created in partnership with apparel and lifestyle brand Deus Ex Machina, and supported by Designworks (a BMW Group subsidiary), the 2025 race car is a monochrome masterpiece.

The standout feature? A bold, oversized “DEUS” logo across the body, accented by hand-drawn details that give the car the look of a moving sketchbook. It’s a raw, artistic take that celebrates individuality and high-speed rebellion.

“This collaboration with Deus Ex Machina sets new, exciting impulses for MINI fans and motorsport enthusiasts,” says Stefan Richmann, Head of MINI.

🏎️ Built for the Green Hell

The Nürburgring—aka the Green Hell—is one of the world’s most demanding race tracks. With fast straights, tight corners, and unforgiving elevation shifts, it puts both machines and drivers to the ultimate test.

MINI’s weapon of choice is the #317 MINI John Cooper Works Pro, a near-production vehicle that won the SP-3T class last year and returns now with even more edge and attitude.

🛠️ Design That Performs

The design team kept it clean and powerful:

  • Black & white for visual clarity
  • Custom team branding integrated seamlessly
  • Raw sketch elements for that “first draft of greatness” look

According to Holger Hampf, Head of MINI Design:

“With DEUS, MINI, and Designworks, we were able to unleash a remarkable design dynamic. This race car is just the beginning.”

🏆 Racing DNA That Runs Deep

This isn’t MINI’s first dance with motorsport. The brand’s racing roots date back to the iconic Monte Carlo Rally win in 1964, followed by further victories in 1965 and 1967. What started with John Cooper’s ingenuity has evolved into a legacy of boldness and technical brilliance.

Today, that DNA lives on in the MINI John Cooper Works models, now powered by four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engines, wrapped in aerodynamically precise design.

🏁 A New Chapter in MINI Motorsport

With the 53rd edition of the Nürburgring 24 Hours Race on the horizon, MINI continues to prove that style, speed, and substance go hand in hand. The partnership with Bulldog Racing and Deus Ex Machina reflects a new era of motorsport where racing and creativity collide.
