Mladá Boleslav, 7 September 2025 – Škoda Auto has revealed the Epiq show car, a striking preview of its forthcoming all-electric city SUV crossover. The model combines compact dimensions with impressive practicality and introduces Škoda’s new Modern Solid design language in full for the first time. The production version is expected to launch in mid-2026.
Compact yet Spacious
Measuring 4.1 metres in length, the Škoda Epiq fits perfectly into the urban environment while offering surprising space for passengers and luggage. It seats five adults comfortably and provides a 475-litre boot, making it one of the most practical options in its class.
With a projected driving range of up to 425 kilometres, the Epiq is designed as a true everyday companion, equally capable of handling short commutes and longer weekend journeys.
Affordable Electric Mobility
The production version of the Epiq will be positioned as Škoda’s most affordable all-electric SUV. Its expected starting price will be comparable to the Kamiq, the brand’s compact internal-combustion SUV. This makes the Epiq a key step in Škoda’s strategy to make sustainable mobility more accessible.

Modern Solid Design Debut
The Epiq is the first Škoda to fully adopt the brand’s Modern Solid design language, which emphasizes:
- Robust yet minimalist styling with clean surfaces
- A new Tech-Deck Face framed by T-shaped LED daytime running lights
- Distinctive tornado line that enhances its strong shoulders and sporty character
- Practical and durable interior with Simply Clever storage solutions
Inside, the Epiq showcases Škoda’s “Mobile First” philosophy: a minimalist, digital-first cockpit with wireless phone charging, physical buttons for essential functions, and haptic scroll wheels for intuitive use.
Joint Production in Spain
The Epiq will be built at the Volkswagen Navarra plant in Spain, as part of the Electric Urban Car Family (EUCF) initiative within Volkswagen’s Brand Group Core.
This collaboration will bring four affordable electric cars across three brands (Škoda, Volkswagen, SEAT/Cupra), aiming to democratise electric mobility for future generations.
CEO’s Vision
Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Škoda Auto, said:
“The Epiq show car offers a concrete glimpse into the next addition to Škoda’s successful all-electric family. It embodies the essence of Škoda: modern solid design, a spacious interior within a compact footprint, user-friendly digital interfaces, and Simply Clever details that ensure a seamless experience – and above all – at an attractive price point.”
What’s Next
The production version of the Škoda Epiq is scheduled to debut in mid-2026. With its combination of affordability, practicality, and innovative design, the Epiq is set to become a gateway model for many first-time EV buyers in Europe and beyond.
