Renault Unveils New Clio: The Superpowered Hatchback

Paris, September 2025 – Renault has officially revealed the sixth generation of the Renault Clio, a hatchback that has been Europe’s best-seller for decades. With over 17 million units sold worldwide across five generations, the Clio continues to evolve with a bold new design, advanced hybrid technology, and next-level connectivity.

Performance & Powertrains

The hybrid system allows 80% all-electric driving in cities and up to 1,000 km on motorways without recharging.

Other options include:

  • TCe 115 hp petrol engine with manual or EDC automatic transmission.
  • Eco-G 120 hp dual-fuel petrol + LPG option for cost efficiency and lower emissions.

Design & Style

Inspired by Renault’s new design language, the Clio features a sculpted, aerodynamic silhouette, an expressive front grille with a diamond LED light signature, and sleek coupe-like proportions. Customers can choose from seven body colours, including new Absolute Red and Absolute Green.

Inside, the cabin boasts premium recycled materials, a 10.1-inch dual V-shaped OpenR Link multimedia system with Google built-in, ambient lighting with 48 colour options, and a spacious 391-litre boot.

Technology & Safety

The new Clio is tech-loaded, offering:

  • Google Maps, Assistant, and Play Store built into the infotainment system.
  • Wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay.
  • 29 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Emergency Braking in reverse, Safe Exit Alert, and a 360° camera.
  • Safety Score & Safety Coach to help drivers improve road safety.

Variants

Three trims are available:

  • Evolution – featuring adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and a 10-inch central display.
  • Techno – adds OpenR Link with Google, automatic climate control, reversing camera, and ambient lighting.
  • Esprit Alpine – premium variant with Alcantara finishes, 18-inch alloy wheels, and advanced driver-assist features.

Industrial Footprint

The Clio will be produced at Renault’s Bursa plant in Turkey, which has already manufactured more than 5 million Clio units. The plant integrates recycled materials, with the new Clio being 85% recyclable, reinforcing Renault’s sustainability goals.
