Affalterbach/Nardò, September 2025 – Mercedes-AMG has set a new benchmark in electric performance with the CONCEPT AMG GT XX, covering 40,075 kilometers in less than eight days at the legendary Nardò test track. The high-performance EV smashed 25 endurance records, including the record for the longest distance ever driven by an electric vehicle in 24 hours – a feat it achieved not once, but fourteen times.
Record-Breaking Technology
The CONCEPT AMG GT XX is powered by three axial-flux motors and a direct-cooled high-performance battery – technology that will enter production next year on the AMG.EA platform. Key innovations include:
- Central Coolant Hub (CCH): intelligent liquid cooling system for sustained peak performance.
- Aerodynamics (Cd 0.19): optimized airflow management for stability at 300 km/h.
- High-Power Charging: custom 850 kW charging station developed with Alpitronic.
- Intelligent Software: Formula 1®-inspired battery management and predictive performance tools.
- UI/UX & AR Tech: AR racing helmet, 3D-printed ergonomic seats, and ThrillAR immersive experiences.
More Than Just Speed
During the extreme test, the AMG GT XX:
- Maintained 300 km/h average speeds for nearly 8 days.
- Delivered instant charging-to-driving performance without de-rating.
- Showcased plasma actuator aero tech, 3D-printed seats, and new Michelin Pilot Sport 5 Energy tyres.
A New Dimension of Performance
